  1. When guys go golfing, women could go to corner of McKellips and 32nd St. to a driving range and buy bucke(s) of balls, rent a club, and have their own hack n slash activity. Grandma would happily keep boys at her house just to the south and watch a movie or play in a wading pool.

  2. Grandpa might could go fishing on Monday afternoon, too.

  3. This looks great!
Here's just a couple of things:
I don't know if Pizzeria Bianco will work for dinner, because they take reservations only up to 10 people. We will have 10 plus 4 kids. Also, don't know how kid-friendly it is. So, I propose 1.We go there for our adult dinner 2. They have sandwiches and salads take-out only at lunch time http://www.pizzeriabianco.com/pane/index.html
or 3. We just choose somewhere else.
Plus La Piazza al forno looks good too and we're already going there

You still talking Pink Jeep tours or something else?

Golfland opens at 11 Mon-Thurs; maybe switch goofy golfing and 4-wheeling back around?

  4. Just found out that Wed-Sun there is a baseball tournament at Hohokam stadium. http://www.visitmesa.com/WacBaseball/

I know we finally agreed on a schedule, but people did like the idea of baseball so I am just throwing it out there. (I can do the lame puns too)

  5. We might skip Golfland on Thursday all together. The idea of taking a trip up to Four Peaks was to replace the Pink Jeep Tours as a cheaper alternative. Plus its a cooler place to be and something we always see, but few have been to. From the parking lot, its a 40 min or so hike to the saddle right next to the peaks. From there you can see a long ways over the desert and the rest of the Valley. Plus you can see Roosevelt lake on the other side as well.

The only draw back is it takes about 1:30-2 hours to drive all the way up there from my house. So if this is something we want to do, it would take 6 hours or so from the time we left to when we returned.

As for goofy golf, we could try to do that on Monday if we want, either all together that night, or the guys to take the boys there and do the arcade, cars and golf.

The other option is we could go there right after pictures tomorrow. They have family night on Wednesdays from 7-10 pm for just $12 a person and includes golf, laser tag and video games. It may be crowded so not sure how much we could do in just 3 hours. But it is another option.

And now to the part about reservations. It might be nice to have some bowling lanes reserved if that what we want to do tomorrow. 3-4 lanes should be enough, just need to know approximately what time we want to be there. The location that I think would be best is the Brunswick Zone on Gilbert Road south of Warner. Its has over 40 lanes plus other activities if we want.

If we want to go to Flagstaff to do the Skyride, tickets are 50% off for groups over 10 ($6 per adult, all the kids would be free), but must be purchased 24 hours in advance.

  6. I almost would have glanced over that if you didn't comment on it, Marily ;)

Yeah, you're right Ryan. We should probably ditch Golfland Thursday, and if we're up to it, we can try tomorrow night. Brunswick XL is a good alley. Shauna and I have been there plenty of times, it's just a shame they only do $1 games on MW after 9. Shoe rentals are about $4. Purchasing your own shoes is an investment! Mine were only $20 so they paid for themselves quickly ;) [end advertisement]

The itinerary looks fun, as long as we make it so! These have to be some great memories to last me a while so I better not see any sorry faces or hear any biting remarks or I'll sick the children on you >:P

  7. CB - Family quarrels are what make a vacation a vacation. I recall the sand fights I had with my brothers like it was yesterday... "you bust my sand castle? I bust yo face!"

I think we should hit Four Peaks as early as possible. Remember it'll be 100 degrees on Thursday, so let's gain some altitude and stay cool while we can. Do we dare place wake-up calls to each other? Do we want to be rolling out of bed at 9am? (Girls, I'm looking at you). How late are our days supposed to start?

Any events after 7pm will likely cut the Greens out. We have Stinkerman who becomes more stinky if he isn't in bed by 7:30pm, and if he's stinky, then mommy is usually cranky, and if mommy is cranky, daddy is hitting the Coke Zero earlier than normal. The cycle usually repeats itself from that point. Don't worry, we won't feel left out.

  8. Spent much of the day doing RS stuff and visits so just getting caught up on the vacation stuff.... (So you can call me President Anonymous for now!!)

Watching baseball might be interesting. Usually Fresno State is pretty tough against ASU and looking at their stats this year, they are doing very well and so is New Mexico State. Tickets are $10/day or $30 for the tournament. And these games usually move faster than the Pro's.

Although, today on the radio, I heard that on Friday, June 4, there is a special section of limited seats being reserved at the D-backs home game for all those who support SB 10 ?? (imigration bill) and will cost only $5.50. (Heard it on 550 KFYI, get it 550 .... 5.50) Apparently one of the D-backs owners was singled out early after the bill was passed because he was a big donor to the Republicans. Anyway, just passing along that info.

Got to run and do a few more RS items so that I can go on vacation with the FAM!

  9. Regarding restaurant for dinner, steak sounds good (or any good food sounds good). It sounds like we will have pizza another day when the boys are with us. And if we can't decide, we can put the names of the restaurants into a bag and draw one out.

  10. If that DBacks thing is legit, I am ALL for supporting that, and for $5.50/ticket, SSSCHWING battah battah!

I assume these ASU games are during the day? Again, this nice weather disappears tomorrow and at what time do ASU games start?

I looked into Pizzeria Bianco and reservations are six (6) weeks out. Most reviews are something along these lines: "Expect to wait 3-4hrs to be seated". No thanks!

  11. The DBack game is legit. Barry Young announced it this morning, but you'll have to listen or call the station for more info, I guess.

The other baseball tournament games don't include ASU from what I saw on the website. The games are played at Hohokam Park in Mesa with 5 - 6 other colleges, though.

  12. Marily posted the website for Mesa, but you can also look at WACsports.com because the teams are in the Western Athletic Conference.
